How Does This All Work?

To attend this course and to assess if you can enrol free of charge, please complete the eligibility form below, with the preferred location and course date you wish to attend.

Your eligibility result will display immediately after you click submit.

Please note:

If eligible, you can complete the enrolment form in the steps to follow.

You will need to include the following documents at the time of enrolment:

  1. USI number to provide on the Application Form
  2. 2 to 3 forms of Identification (i.e driver's license, passport, birth certificate, Medicare, concession card, student or photo card)

3. Use this course as a pathway a Hospitality Cert III and before a bar staff at club, bar, barrister, general wait staff, as a Chef or in Cookery, Accom services, Housekeeping, for Functions and Events.

A statement of attainment will be awarded for all units of competency. Awarded units may be eligible for credit transfer for further study in hospitality qualifications, such as SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality.

Potential course outcomes and what you may be able to take advantage of:

  • A possible Traineeship in the aged care industry, that may lead to job placement in roles like:
    • Home Care - supporting elderly or disabled people in their homes as a Personal Care Worker
    • Residential Care - Working in an aged care facility caring for elderly residents as an Aged Care Worker. 
  • Entry level positions in Home Care, providing a friendly face  and helping clients with cleaning, cooking, shopping, basic first aid etc.
  • Entry level positions to support patients, nurses and qualified care staff no longer able to support themselves at home.
  • Gateway into other Kenvale courses like our CHC43015 Certificate IV in Aging Support to further advance your career opportunities in aged care.

How do Kenvale offer this course fee-free?

If you are eligible and comply with the Smart and Skilled Government funding eligibility criteria, you can attend this course fee-free!


After I attend this course, what is next?

We try to arrange an interview for you, at employer's premises where we are running the short course.

If successful you may get a job with them. In addition, you may be able to leverage the credits attained from your short course to pursue a full  CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual support with Kenvale. For example CHC33015.

We generally run our short courses from the premises of a prospective employer, aligned and verified by Kenvale.
